Janus is the system. The aircraft is how it gets there.

Vexil Systems builds Janus, the mission software behind a deployable radio relay. Janus takes the aircraft to the obstructed area, lands it at an elevated ridge, hill, or structure, and operates the repeater from a stationary position so separated teams can reach each other again.

Where it started.

Vexil Systems grew out of an Oregon State University mechanical engineering capstone project. The founding team met building a UAV radio repeater for that program and continued the work as Vexil Systems. Aegis was the first aircraft to fly, land, and relay, and Hermes is the second generation now in active development.
